Overview
Network 14's HAI LAN's Premier Platform for Eliminating and Preventing HAI's.
As the Premier HAI Prevention Resource, the objective for Network 14's HAI LAN is to change Texas' dialysis culture of care by eliminating and/or reducing the risk of patients becoming ill with access related infections. Texas dialysis patients, healthcare teams, and organizations are invited to utilize, share, and spread the platforms rich resources (articles and links) to make a difference in the lives of dialysis patients. Patients, let your voices be heard, inform the dialysis staff if there have been any health related changes since your last dialysis treatment (medications, vaccines, and doctor or hospital visits) and SPEAK UP when you have questions.

Resources for Patients
CDC is teaming up with a broad coalition of kidney and dialysis organizations to reduce the number of bloodstream infections in dialysis patients. Each year, about 37,000 people get potentially deadly bloodstream infections related to their dialysis treatment. –Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition
CDC has updated the Dialysis Safety webpage and posted a new resource created in collaboration with AAKP: Conversation Starter to Prevent Infections in Dialysis Patients. Check it out!
