Currently, Alliant Quality, doing business as ESRD Network 14, seeks a Quality Improvement Coordinator (QIC) to serve as the project lead for assigned QI activities. Additionally, the QIC serves as a resource to the Patient Services Director (PSD) and Outreach Coordinator (OC) in the development and implementation of educational initiatives. Position is responsible for designing and implement QI Activities as assigned, including all required reports, data analytics and associated deliverables and maintains; serves as National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) technical expert to assist facility staff with NSHN enrollment and reporting concerns; maintains essential databases related to QI Activities; collaborates with other team members to support the development of new projects and the continuous improvement of the overall work of the team; promotes core values of team; maintains security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws, regulations and company policies; serves as back-up Security Point of Contact; demonstrate compliance with company corporate and departmental policies; and performs other tasks and duties assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required include:

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present information in verbal and written formats
  • Computer literate with intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Internet
  • Knowledge of and commitment to process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge and ability to work independently and manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve information and situations
  • Ability to handle multiple activities/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization with excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to type up to 45 words per minute
  • Ability to travel by driving a car or flying in a plane as needed
Education, experience and training required include:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience, and minimum two (2) years of work experience in a healthcare quality improvement setting required
  • Healthcare and/or End Stage Renal Disease experience preferred
  • Registered Nurse with active Texas licensure or Registered Dietitian a plus
