AVF Course on DVD Available Free to Texas Surgeons & Nephrologists

A course for general, vascular and transplant surgeons active in vascular access procedures who are interested in using fewer grafts and increasing their percentage of viable AV Fistulas.

  • Detailed review of new and established surgical techniques in constructing dialysis vascular access: predicting (avoiding) Cimino AV Fistulas that will fail, proximal radial artery AV Fistula, transposition fistulas, creating native AV Fistulas in the "difficult access extremity" and converting grafts to AV Fistulas.
  • Extremity ultrasound assessments performed by the vascular access surgeon that maximize preoperative and surgical decision making.
  • Scope and nature of procedures that can be performed by the Internationalist to successfully "rescue" failing AV Fistula.
