The Final Roundup Project

The MRB identified an opportunity for improvement in patients on chronic hemodialysis for six months who do not attain a URR of > 65% for at least three consecutive months. Patients meeting this criterion were defined by the MRB as at risk of being "chronically underdialyzed (CU)" for the purposes of this project. Conclusion: This quality improvement project identified that even though greater than 90% of the Texas hemodialysis patient population has attained recommended adequacy levels, a small percentage (< 1%) of Texas hemodialysis patients have significant barriers to attaining a URR > 65%.
